Think you've got what it takes to be The Graduate Apprentice?!

We are looking for an exceptional graduate to become the Graduate Apprentice 2010!

This is a unique 12 month opportunity where you will rotate through three 16 week paid placements within three diverse professional and financial services firms in Birmingham.

Your first placement will be with big four firm, Deloitte. In this client facing role you will be in the tax department where your work could involve financial planning, research, analysis, and organising of data for new and existing clients. You must have an eye for detail, be numerate, able to communicate on all levels, and manage client relationships effectively.

The second placement will be with The Cube. The graduate will be given exciting projects to be accountable for including project management and delivery of bespoke key aspects of development to include lettings, construction activity, PR, marketing and financial appraisal work.

The third placement will be with the UK’s largest independent private client investment management firm, Brewin Dolphin. Working alongside our Private Client teams, you will have the opportunity to assist our Investment Managers in daily tasks to ensure the development of clients and their portfolio’s. You will be encouraged to research and analyse market conditions and current trends, whilst being able to attend business development activities and investment strategy meetings.

To apply you must have graduated in the last two years, hold at least 300 UCAS points or equivalent, expect to gain a 2:1 in any discipline, and can demonstrate the essential skills below.

You must be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Numerate

  • Can communicate articulately on all levels. In each placement you will be client facing, and so are required to communicate complex information to client audiences (both verbal and written)
  • A strong ability to effectively plan, manage and organise your work
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Can work well within a team
  • Can work flexibly and able to use initiative.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate

Desirable skills:

The employers are seeking some previous work experience although no specific area is required.
