This Graduate Impact Event will be held at Aston University on 09/07/2009

Who Should Attend?

This course is open for any final year students or recent graduates that are looking for some help with their employability skills covering presentation skills, team working, practical recruitment techniques, networking techniques and personal effectiveness.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A TWO DAY COURSE AND WILL TAKE PLACE OVER 9TH & 10TH JULY 2009. IF YOU ATTEND YOU ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND BOTH DAYS!

The importance of networking and how to use it when looking for a job
Developing rapport in order to develop your network
Adapting your communication style to suit the needs of others.
Get the opportunity to go to a Business Networking Event (Places are limited!)

What makes you good at your job, (being happy can make you good at your job, how do we do this?)
Thinking about your thinking
Identifying your signature strengths and developing them, follow your passion.

Experience and understand recruitment and selection techniques from an employers perspective
Know how to prepare and go through a selection process through an interactive exercise.

Learn about what makes an effective presentation
How to plan and prepare a presentation
Get some 'golden rules' of presenting

Factors which constitute a good team
How to gain practical experience through an assessment centre style activity and gain valuable feedback from the trainers
Your own teamworking style and how this can impact on the team.
