Do you have what it takes to make it big in the music industry? The Soul of North Staffs has an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join the team as a Runner-Researcher. Initially a 6 month placement there could be long term opportunities for the right candidate.
Sons Records is one of the largest Independent record labels in the UK and boasts an International Distribution network - including HMV and Digital Stores in the UK, a state of the art recording studio, a promotions arm attracting over 5000 people to its last 3 events. It has achieved several hits in the UK Independent chart, backed up with radio play on Radio 1, Radio 2, National TV coverage etc.
The main aim of the runner-researcher role will be to provide support to the other team members at Sons Records working across different fields. They will be employed to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of this quickly expanding business. The person who we are looking for will be organized, outgoing and motivated.
Principle duties and responsibilities
The job will revolve around all aspects of the running of a record label on a day-to-day basis; liaising with pressing plants and distributors, administering royalty paperwork and processing stock to helping to book and organize photo-shoots, live events, and helping with PR exercises. They may also be required to help with general administrative and basic bookkeeping tasks when required.
We
are looking for a team player with good social skills, and the key qualities of
empathy and affability. They will be willing to go the extra mile to meet a
deadline, and be someone who likes to both work hard and play hard!
This
position will provide anyone looking to develop a career in the music industry,
or the creative industries in general with valuable experience across all
fields.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word would be viewed as necessary.
It
would be an advantage if the candidate has some experience of working in a
professional environment, especially in the music industry (whether paid or
unpaid), and have a passion for music

Stoke-on-Trent. There are good public transport links.
The
