Software Developer

Codeweavers have an exciting opportunity for a graduate Software Developer to join the team. Here at Codeweavers we provide web applications that promote Motor Finance and Motor Insurance to some of the largest names in the Motor Industry. These include Porsche, BMW, Fiat, Alfa, Jaguar and Land Rover amongst others.

We pride ourselves on being one of the most progressive software development organisations in the country. Our team utilise Agile Software Practices and manage work-flows using Kanban in combination with other processes developed from the ideas of Theory of Constraints. Together these methods have enabled us to continually improve almost every aspect of our business and have helped us become a true learning organisation.

The individual we are looking for will have a genuine enthusiasm with a voracious appetite to develop their craft as a developer. Experience of specific languages, tools or environments is of lesser importance to us. Because of the way we work (in pairs with regular swaps at pairing stations) you do not necessarily have to be an expert in the languages we use as you will rapidly pick up both our technologies and domain knowledge.

We offer continual professional development by employing an Agile Coach who has, for the past eighteen months, been mentoring the team to drive improvements in all aspects of quality and productivity. We have regular "dojo" session which as well as being great fun, help us to explore new ideas, investigate new techniques and learn our craft, these sessions also greatly help team communication.

Essential Skills

We primarily develop web applications in C# using the latest technologies like ASP.NET MVC and Object Relational Mapping, this is supported by heavy use of well-known JavaScript libraries and semantic CSS.

Desirable Skills

The ideal candidate must be intelligent, enthusiastic, well educated, motivated by quality and always keen to try new things.
