You will achieve this through the use of semi-automated tools, script execution and manual testing and verification techniques. By analysing the results, you will expose potential vulnerabilities and customise subsequent tests, based on initial findings. Any vulnerability discovered will be analysed and categorised alongside a detailed recommendation that will enable the client to take remedial action and mitigate the issue. Upon completion of a penetration test, you will provide the client with a test report which summaries the identified vulnerabilities and advise on solutions that will improve security.
Within the role, you will be:
- Testing customers internal and external network infrastructures
- Compiling comprehensive documentation and analysis
- Presenting and communicating test results and recommendations to clients
- Making sure that you are up to date with current key security vulnerabilities
- Ensuring you have effective time management with the ability to meet client deadlines
- Identifying the growth to the CHECK team leader, CREST infrastructure, CREST application and CISSP
Essential Skills
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Security
- Understanding of Microsoft OS
- Experience in programming, operating systems and databases
- Passion for IT security
- Good customer satisfaction skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Must hold a British Passport for security clearances
Desirable Skills
- Awareness and understanding of Penetration Testing methodology
